Many commercial and/or public restroom facilities are constructed with floor drains. This can be true in RV park facilities too! These drains can, and many times do, perform a couple of very important task. One, if the toilet or sink overflows the water has someplace to go besides under the walls, or out the door, or down the stairs, etc. Two, if one has an industrious employee that likes to use a water hose to clean the restrooms, then they provide a place for all that water to drain too.
Now….what if that industrious employee sees a bright shiny new power washer that can develop 250 degrees of steam/water and deliver it at 4000 PSI? And, what if this employee decides to clean the restrooms with it? Now this gets interesting!
Is this going to be EASIER? FASTER? MORE SANITARY?
Chances are the answers will be:
Yes, likely easier.
No, likely not faster. It will take the employee more time locate the power washer, put fuel in it, hook it to the water supply, and then put it up when finished.
Maybe! You will see.
If you decide to try this yourself, here are some tips!
#1. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES
#2. CLEAN AND SANITIZE ALL THE TOILET BOWELS (this is very important)
#3. PUT A HEAVY WEIGHT ON THE TOILET LIDS IN THE CLOSED POSITION
#4. JUST IN CASE, PUT A HEAVIER WEIGHT ON THE TOILET LIDS
Now one can begin the process of power-washing the restroom and if you did not do a great job on step #2 and/or you failed to use heavy enough weight(s) on steps #3 & #4.
KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!!!!!
It is amazing what 4000 PSI can move in the way of weight (especially on a slick toilet lid) AND it can certainly empty out a toilet bowl pretty quick and in every direction!
